Today (right now, actually!) I’m flying to New York to spend time with my wonderful friend Lori and speak at the New York State Right to Life pro-life camp for teens.
Over the past few months, I’ve been ramping up my writing, including re-engaging in my pro-life work. A long time ago, pre-kids, I did this sort of thing on a regular basis, both writing and speaking in front of groups. But I’ve spent the past 13 years otherwise engaged. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve absolutely loved the past 13 years and wouldn’t trade a single day. Not even those days when the girls had colic and screamed for hours on end. Okay, that may not be entirely honest.
But as wonderful as the road thus far has been, it feels like the start of a new journey. Now it feels like I’m really taking off after doing travel prep for the past few months. I’m excited and interested to know where God’s taking me on this wacky journey.
One nice thing — among many nice things — about speaking to a teen camp is it’s super casual, so I don’t have to worry about constricting clothing. I think the kids are really going to get a kick out of my new shirt, courtesy my awesome friend Alisha. She’s crafty!
